My professional chronology begins in 1999, with my technical training. In 2001, I started working in environmental consulting, on air emissions monitoring, acoustic comfort and air quality modelling.
In the years that followed, I took part in projects involving integrated management systems, legal requirements, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, occupational health and industrial operations. That experience put me in contact with distinct sectors and with problems that called for technical judgement, presence in the field and the ability to turn requirements into workable procedures.
Between 2003 and 2006, I worked at the Federação das Indústrias do Estado de São Paulo (São Paulo State Federation of Industries). The work covered contaminated sites, environmental licensing, offsetting, pollution prevention, cleaner production and participation in the Brazilian standardisation group for the ISO 14000 series.
In 2005, I completed my degree in Civil Engineering. Around the same time, I began teaching at SENAC on technical courses in environment, health, safety and management systems. Teaching foreshadowed a trait that would become central to my career: organising and passing on knowledge.
