In November 2016, I founded my own consultancy. The company operates today under the name ACS Global Ventures.
The decision had a clear purpose: to widen the impact, learn from different sectors and test approaches in distinct organisational contexts. My executive career had provided depth in large companies. Consulting would let me compare models, challenges and levels of maturity.
My work came to include food, beverages, mining, infrastructure, highways, energy, retail and other complex operations. I worked on culture assessments, leadership programmes, behavioral observation, competencies, contractor management, audits and cultural transformation.
The problems identified in those projects gave rise to guides, games, courses, assessments, tools and communication materials. The aim was to let companies and professionals reach the knowledge even without an on-site project.
In 2016, I completed the Delivering Safety Culture, Hearts and Minds programme at the Energy Institute in London. In 2018, I returned to study Human Factors, The Fundamentals. By 2019, I had already built the platform that would take shape as Escola da Segurança (School of Safety).
In 2020, I published Cultura de Segurança (Safety Culture), a book in which I compared American and European references and organised the dimensions and elements of the subject in language organisations could apply.
